The domain, the hosting, the code and the content are registered in your name and handed over with credentials. If you ever leave, you take all of it with you, and we will put that in the agreement.
If a ready made tool would serve you better and cost less than something custom, we will tell you. An agency willing to talk you out of a project is worth trusting with the ones it takes on.
We do not start on a verbal brief. A written scope protects you more than it protects us, because it is what stops the same request being made four times.
If something sits outside what we can build well, you will hear it at the scoping stage rather than halfway through your budget.
You do, registered that way from the start rather than transferred at the end. This is the part of the industry that causes the most lasting damage, because a domain registered to a developer turns years of your brand building into somebody else's login. We put ownership in the agreement in writing.
You take everything with you. The handover pack holds credentials, documentation and access, and none of it depends on you staying with us. A developer making it difficult to leave is a choice rather than a technical necessity.
Scope first, always. We write down what is being built, what it does, what it does not do and what each stage delivers, and the pricing follows that document. Nothing begins until both sides have agreed the same scope.
In stages, against delivery. You see a stage, you accept it, and the payment for that stage follows. Large advances paid against a promise are how people end up stranded, so we do not ask for them.
Credentials, hosting and domain access, the source code, documentation covering how it is built and instructions for the things you will want to change yourself. The test we hold ourselves to is that another developer could pick it up without calling us.
The cost and the turnaround are written into your support terms before launch, rather than negotiated once you are already depending on it.
Usually yes, and integrating with what you already run is normally cheaper and far less disruptive than replacing it. Where a genuine limitation makes that a poor idea, we will explain exactly what it is.
Often. The first question is access. If you hold the credentials and the code it is usually straightforward, and if your previous developer holds them, recovering those comes first. We will tell you honestly how that looks before you commit.
